do you tend to connect to them more for that? Or would you (if you're from a country no kpop idol is from? For me it depends bc the US is so different that even if an idol is from LA that isn't necessarily the experience I've had growing up. So my connection to them for that is not very big

No idols from my country so idk.but there are some are idols from my own cultural background (at a great remove), tho only 1 or 2 are my bias becos i can understand their native language. But more becos wat they say instead of them saying it in a language i understand. So partially or not at all ig.

Sam from Lunafly was pretty cool. SM a couple of years ago had a trainee that was from Manchester, which is less than an hour train ride away from my city. If she'd ended up in Aespa I'd have rooted for her.
