The problem is most of the stories have traumatic events/conflict or other craziness to drive the plot. so most places seem like they would be very dangerous.
and the pov is usually a very select group of folks ie mighty hero's casters ect. Some are so unique that there are 10-15 of em on the planet.

i guess ya could chill as a hobbit and eat 5 times a day during a non ring quest year.

LOL Every fantasy world I've wanted to be in is usually during a war or some other conflict is happening where everyone but the main characters are dying or in war :(

Like I think it would be so cool to be Jedi in a period where they're not being hunted and killed. There are a lot of people that would love to be Jedi but the problem is is that they're never safe lmao

Star Trek is literally the perfect universe, even to be just a civilian. There is no money because everything is replicated, and no one goes without. Also, you have access to a lot of other very advanced technology and if you train hard enough, you can explore the universe. Even though there are some wars, you could be on a planet that's completely out of the war's reaches.

You only risk being assimilated to the Borg.
