lets pretend for a second that mankind has already begun to settle down on mars, everything you need is available there. would you?

to me it just looks like a barren wasteland; even as a space geek i dont get the hype. all those billions wasted on some great escape for the wealthy when we could use it to clean up our beautiful home planet instead,,

Watching The Expanse where they did exactly that but I wouldn't go there personally, at least not in the beginning, maybe later down the lane when it's more developed

Nah but I'd very much support transferring a chunk of our population there to free up more space and reduce resource consumption on Earth. Maybe just round up a lot of serious criminals and leave them on Mars, they'd become the Australia of the solar system
