How long would you be willing to train for before moving onto something else?

For me it really depends on how old I am, if I started really young and it was a dream I really wanted to achieve I’d say maybe until 21. But if I started training at a later age maybe only 5 years before I moved on.

Like ya say age has a key component.

It also really depends on the quality and breadth of training.

I like most ppl learn/ study better when forced( a hard goal/ evaluation point) . For example i have now been active in kpop for 13 years and despite books youtube ect my Korean skills are tiny.
So if the company is say teaching me additional languages, Acting/Modeling, Variety /hosting along with the exercise/ skills of singing dancing.
If they added money management and the chace to taste preforming ( say at smtown or company showcases ) well into my 20's there is real value in that education . I would say more than would be gained by after school study groups.

Assuming now, Imma say 5 years, but overall I don't think my goal would to debut in Korea, realistically I'd use my performance skills to work in the western entertainment industry instead, most likely find a job there lol

I wouldn't be a kpop trainee in the first place - the amount of risk one bears for the "expected average" is not worth it...

remember for every BTS/BP etc etc there are a hundred nugus!!!
