If Youtube shut down (2 Viewers)

More than anything, I use YouTube for commentaries on things and visualization of podcasts... So I could likely go on Spotify and listen to the podcasts there. The individuals who don't have those I would look to their other socials to see if they were planning on hosting their content on other platforms. The real loss would be content that has been uploaded like interviews from decades past. You have no idea how many interviews I would only have access to from Michael Jackson if it weren't for media sharing sites like YouTube. Dailymotion probably would become more common if YT shut down though. Probably more regulated to.. Like Dailymotion has Scooby Doo+Addams Family Movie, which I'm sure if Charles Addams' estate knew about they wouldn't be happy

I can't think of any competitors tbh

Even if it did it would be like a proto-monopoly anyway.. Sort of like the ISP in my state. There are multiple ones, but the rest suffer from crippling download speeds so everyone is just going to use the overpriced one. lmao

I wasn't sure so I looked. lol.. Its homepage is sectioned off into well sections for news, entertainment, music, etc... Upon searching for a song [DTNA] the video allows for change in quality going up to 1080p so thats good. However, when I put Twice in the search box it took a lot of scrolling through interviews and other content before it showed me their mvs... Which should be first [the mvs not the interviews+variety shows] imo... Same with Exo. A lot of content seems to be by fans rather than companies. You can filter by most recent/viewed; time length; and upload date. You are more likely to find live performances than mvs which I also don't like. But when I put in BTS, NCT, or BP mvs come up right away... imagine my surprise. western artists like Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift have mvs that pop up right away as well.. So it depends on the artists/group. But YouTube is better imo but DailyMotion isn't bad just needs an upgrade. It kinda seems like an upgrade of old youtube before youtube went crazy with their policies. Like '09 when it took a long time for them to take down copyrighted material. lol
