I'm sure there's one... I mean there was this one guy on akp, you know who he is, who would post these essays about news stories that were more conservative leaning. . . (Like 900+ words... So long winded)... Although calling him conservative is prolly an insult to conservatives as he seemed more far right than anything. lol

We have a couple, and I would actually not say that KS tends towards liberalism so much as anti trumpism. When it comes to some topics like pro choice vs pro life there were a lot more vocal pro life people than pro choice. The problem is even conservatives often don't like Trump

Yeah, I agree a little. There's someone I know on here that isn't exactly pro-life, but doesn't like people who get abortions willy nilly.. Although most people don't really have multiple abortions, but I do know people who have had ~9 abortions over the course of 20 years... but thats besides the point. But I don't see many issues that are conservative among members of KS beyond abortion. But then again I don't see too many threads talking about taxes and guns.. There may be a couple threads about guns, but more about what Trump is doing rather than political positions generally or topics.

Even the media focuses on specific things in relation to Trump and doesn't speak about others as much. For instance, while some outlets spoke out against the transgender ban and the bathroom debate [as they should since its transphobic] not many outlets spoke out against some of the other transphobic and homophobic policies and quotes that trump has made during and before his election.

But to your point I think a lot of people just b***h about Trump in passing in everyday life, because its hard not to. I'm gonna quote Samantha from Sex and the City to be a bit more light hearted here: "You need a president you wanna bang. No one wanted to f**k Nixon so he f****d everybody..."

Honestly, I'm not about to celebrate considering the current threats of violence and the fact that we've got soldiers camped out and one of the tightest security perimeters in history for the inauguration. Just because Joe Biden is about to be President doesn't mean all the terrible is instantaneously over. All Americans should still be concerned about what could possibly happen.

I definitely see where you're coming from. It is sad that an inauguration needs all this protection. I'm not saying that all of the problems in this country suddenly disappear because Biden is now the president-elect. It's just nice to finally have a leader that has a plan, isn't being reckless, or purposely alienating allies. I don't see anything wrong with seeing the good in that. The country is definitely divided. The US isn't in the best place and I feel that trump's presidency was one of the factors that have contributed to pushing us so far off base. I'm honestly glad that we voted trump out, dems have the house and senate majority now. Hopefully some bills that have been shut down in the past will be able to get passed now.

yeah me too. one day down, two to go! Crazy that they have closed down the capitols in every state because trump supporters were planning to storm them I know a few people who work with state and they have work off just to be safe on inauguration day
