I tried getting into Jpop but I can’t get into it. I’ve found a few songs I liked from the genre but not very many :/

Also tried getting into heavy mental when I was younger. It did not work out
Although Obey by Bring Me The Horizon is a bop

Metal is a huge genre. I'd say the more symphonic less than 10 minute songs may help you like it more...

I have tried to try maybe a strong word but understand maybe artists who do satire music like Weird Al and Margaret Cho to an extent [Cho is a good comedian, but I have no interest in her music]...

Hiphop. I knew I didn't like it; but I tried to get into a boygroup I initially found cool, and ended up hating the genre.
