With 50/50's pending demise/lack of action there Was so much space.

Ssera has been dropping album tracks and making em work almost like western artist.

OFC SM is got their thumb up their #$% v RV and are talking about some large gg in q4.

Its going to be hard to come back from this.
And they should have been working hard getting deals in Korea ect.

That is the problem. I am not sure there is any money. One of the girls has credit on the song she will get paid something for sure.
But the majority of the song money will be tied up, with the rights mess and the song producer. (who evidently shopped the group to WBK and they offer him 20 mill then called teh og CEO to touch base and he had no clue about it. obv WBK though they were buying the entire company.)
I have read they spent 6 million on advertising (which is a crazy amount for a tiny company)

For big companies maybe, but for smaller ones its not that easy to bounce back.

Yep its like when NJ IVE and Ssera hit they just kinda threw in the towel
Everglow last cb in 2021 like at least try.

I don't get how companies look at even Weeekly who got 80k sales with one of their albums and think its time to throw in the towel when that should be pretty sustainable.

Weeekly makes even less sense since they are in Apinks agency. Apink never had monster physicals. Its pretty hard to say Apink are not very successful.
Yet here they are with 2/3 of the group on a survival show.

Weeekly never had a hit like Apink had though tbf so their branding was probably weaker but even then other groups have survived without having passable physical or digital sales and do the companies not realise people will be skeptical of them if they only have 1 group and still can't stick to that? It's one thing for groups to get lost in the shuffle in a company like SM but if you have 3 groups that shouldn't be too hard to manage.

I do think it can work out that way where album sales can be an indicator of hype but some groups sales go up regardless anyway so it's not something I put out there as concrete since it doesn't track however Weeekly were clearing trending upwards and it seems Jiyoon leaving just dropped all interest for IST which like at least try before giving up like WM did for Oh My Girl.
