sounds like that one douyin music competition show last year (?), the one where phoenix legend did that viral bottom of the ocean cover
I like the mentor choices but it would've been nicer to add a producer/songwriter type in like the coming one or flash superband did since I'm 99% it'll just be a mostly cover show and they need good arrangements
though to be completely fair for langjie3 a lot of the traffic is coming from the cyndi resurgence

tbh I don't mind her that much and am happy that she's getting her career back but her fans (mostly bandwagon which doesn't help) is kind of really annoying, especially with the push she got from the show after gong1 aired
one of the meanest comments I've read about it post-liu lian elimination was "she's even turning into a jessica stan"

don't think her fans are that rich in terms of demographics but have potential to grow into serious whalers given a few more years? early-mid 30s men can offer serious money ig but 40 is usually when they peak in seniority, it's the 20s men in my experience who tend to be the most serious ones though
the more I look at the langjie3 lineup the more I realize how genius some of the decisions were, from the whole gillian-tyler-jessica triangle to that one presscon where ning jing dissed wu jingyan in front of her face to create pre-show tensions between fanbases
