He’s from Busker Busker so it makes sense. It would have been more shocking if he didn’t get a good response. And the song sounds very public friendly and just screams Spring so I’m not surprised at all. Not to mention, it’s been ages since he last released music and Korea has been dying for Busker Busker to release music again so I guess this was highly anticipated.

Busker Busker released the ultimate Spring anthem ‘Cherry Blossom Ending’ and ever since then, they have been Korea’s icons of spring. The song was released back in 2012 but every Spring since then, it still rises back up the charts. The song was so popular when it was released that Busker Busker even won a rookie award with it over EXO and BAP. So they’re VERY popular in Korea and with good reason. They haven’t released music since then (someone correct me if I’m wrong) so Korea has been highly anticipating them. Jung Beom Jun was the one who produced Cherry Blossom Ending too so he’s the genius behind Korea’s favourite spring song. So the likelihood of this being sajaegi is super low.

hes literally 1 member of busker busker who has one of the biggest songs ever in Korea and multiple other huge songs. Def not sajaegi. It was 3 years ago he released his last album and that album did pretty good (spawned 3-4 hits). And in 2014 his 1st album also had 1-2 hits. So anticipation was probably high seeing he got 1.1m uls in the first 24h.

Busker Busker has a song that climbs up the charts every spring, like Mariah Carey does for Christmas. It does make sense now, I did not know he is a Busker Busker member.
