I think they'll go back as top tier members (well Sakura is already top tier) since they have that kpop exposure. Hitomi maybe not so much but Sakura and Nako will still be pushed, at least in the front row of the singles. While the AKB daily grind is a hassle, I think it's better than the way Korean idols are treated with their insane schedules. Sakura (with all her schedules in Japan) had time to set up a gaming channel, I think that says a lot with the time that they have for themselves. This is making me wonder if the j line will go back to what they had. Sakura is already making a name for herself in Korea with KHD.
They have friends and history and fans they love. Japan is a bigger market, but back to the akb grind may be a bit much.
