Not gonna comment on the rest but omad is perfectly fine to do
depends on the meal, if you eat a shit ton in one sitting then yeah that's probably fine. i mean ive been doing that for a long time, but I usually snack on other things as well. I don't think jyp is referring to that. he's probably talking about eating one small portion a day.

Yeah it's terrible. But in Kpop, who's surprised by this really?

The sad reality is this is what all kpop companies tell their idols worse than what's shown here on the daily, even if they are already skinny. And they have weigh ins and weight goals. I do think there needs to be change, but if I get outraged by just this clip, then I'd probably have to unstan kpop immediately given what we know the industry is like.

Any chance he did this on purpose cause ratings aren't that good?

Any publicity is good publicity.
Nah, this is from one of the first episodes, there'd be no ratings data when this was filmed.

okay but there was still no reason to bring up her weight, she looks like any other jyp artist. if you want to tell her train more in dancing and singing because she lacked then that's fine. but to bring up her weight as an excuse as to why she isn't dancing well... on national television when shes actually really healthy for her weight was not the right way to go. young teenage girls are already so sensitive about their weight, to put this kind of humiliation on her was a terrible thing to do. poor girl looked like she was gonna cry.
Yes but its a harsh industry i know girls are sensetive about their weight but this is kpop where you are going to hear that kinda thing.

I personallly think yous are overeacting a bit he started it off by saying he struggled too.

I really think this is an overreaction, since he never actually commented on her self care, but the editor put that in as a subtitle.
the overall message was still about her weight, it should have never been about her weight, if jyp was an actual performer like he claims to be then he would know that there are amazing dancers who are a bit thicker. criticise her dancing but don't make it seem like shes bad at dancing because of her weight.

I feel like he was just telling her the harsh truth, as he stated. And what he said about weight affecting your dancing wasn't actual untrue; it's a scientific fact. I highly doubt he genuinely thinks she's fat. However, as disgusting as it is, overly-skinny people sell. I think he was looking at it from a business perspective.

That doesn't mean that this should stop her at all. Honestly this is a huge issue in the industry as well.

what was the harsh truth that he was trying to convey? tell her to improve her dancing, her singing, that's fine. her weight had nothing to do with her performance. and jyp should have stayed away from that if he actually wanted her to improve. imagine if she loses a shit ton of weight and comes back the next week with probably the same type of dancing that jyp was criticizing, whose fault is that? jyps for the most part, because instead of commenting on idk dancing technique and ways that she can improve her dancing, he talked about how losing weight would help when in all reality it wouldn't. and if he really had to comment about her weight, why not do it after they were done recording? I'm sick of kpop survival shows humiliating their idols on tv and then acting like its apart of the survival aspect of the show.

The harsh truth as in: Knetz aren't going to let you sell if you don't fit in to their sick body standards.

I really do think he quite literally meant that he genuinely thought that her weight was affecting her dancing, due to physics.
But I can agree to saying it after the recording. That is not something ANYONE wants to hear, especially in front of millions of viewers. I hope she's ok.

Also, weight does affect your dancing. However, not to her extent, since she was already pretty slim.

unaccaptable. another reason to not like JYP. what's funny is people say JYP is the overall best company and JYP as a person is the best from the BIG3 yet they are just as rotten as every other company.

Sadly all companies are bad in that aspect

First thing idols from different companies talk about when they gather are stories about starving.

Is HappyFace Entertainment the only company which let their artists eat what they want? Or do other companies also do that?
Or maybe it's only because Dreamcatcher has a bit of a more tougher dance routine so they can burn it off?
It seems like the Dreamcatcher girls can eat what they want, as long as they don't go overboard.

not true at all lmao, just look at the royal family, a world-renowned dance team who does dances with harder choreo then any kpop group could ever think of, the majority of the people in the royal family are bigger than this girl lmao.
Doesn't change the fact being thin gives you advantage both fitness and look wise. These dancers would be faster and look better if they lost weight.

Those dancers have been dancing their entire lives. The royal family is run by a world renowned dancer and choreography, parris goebal. I’m sure that if they can get approved by him to be on his team, then they’re fine. They are all at a healthy weight, your just so used to seeing kpop idols dancing And looking skinny because they’re basically starving themselves.
