Sensitive Kind of semi ashamed of my black australian roots and kind of am not (1 Viewer)

I thought having ancestors from black Australia would have been cool. And it is, because I can understand what the stolen generation went through.
But then again. I am a bit embarrassed as well, because of how little they think of themselves and their culture. (Which I find fascinating)

And they have a severe hatred and intolerance towards whites as well. Which I kind of get, but at the same time it's a bit slack.
Especially if it's towards whites that did nothing to warrant it.

Like I know my dad's cousin was a bit surprised by it. But then when you see where my ancestors here originated from.
Like Redfern in Sydney and other parts. It just makes sense.

I am starting to get used to the whole thing slowly.
Mostly through my own ignorance and misunderstanding, I didn't see much of it.

But now I kind of get it.

Yeah that is true <3 No one really remembers the Aborigines history too much or doesn't want to.
I am hoping to keep it alive. Not only in my family, but in general throughout all of Australia. <3
