I remember people on akp hyping up d4 even before it was released. And how when I was falling in love with Momoland there were these blinks that were upset that Momoland had the nerve to have a comeback at the same time. Musical genres and scenes aren’t invincible nor do they last forever. That being said I think kpop is too big right now to fall any time soon and is still on the rise currently, so Blackpink disbanding or simply losing their place at the top to another group won’t impact kpop much in my opinion.

I don't think there's a group that would affect the genre disappearing alone as the world still moves on with other groups making comebacks
