This sounds so childish and so naive but... I believe Lay will come back to EXO and you know why...

Because he promised... He promised us... and he promised the other EXO members. In 2014 the younger members used to often ask him if he will leave as well and he promised them he would stay.

He wrote promise to give that very same promise to fans one more time. To make that promise memorable and more powerful. The song is a promise from the whole of EXO... But these days, for a couple of years by now... I see it as mostly Lay's promise.

He promised... So I believe he will come back. The sense of responsibility, Love and duty that Lay has is honestly unparalleled and he won't break his promise to us or to EXO any day soon.

He’s spent more time in Korea this year so far already compared to the previous couple of years. He flew to Korea especially to see Kyungsoo off to the military before heading back to China, and he set up a video link to Minseok’s fanmeet so he could see him off too.
