Honestly, nothing about this group feels genuine to me. I know the majority of K-pop is built on business if not all of it but this is just taking advantage of fans of these members and it'll either end well or not so well.

The members shine a lot better in their respective groups where they're already popular enough. Hopefully, it's just a one-time thing, but I'm sceptical. It also seems that the majority of the reactions are negative towards this group, maybe I am wrong though.

SM just keeps wanting more, instead of working on their currently existing groups. You can't force put several famous members in a single group and expect it to be more popular than any of the current existing SM's boy groups because in end of the day akgaes won't care about buying albums (I saw that happen with W1) and there's no way all of them will get equal parts which will lead people to complain about their biases not being treated fair, lol.

See this is exactly why i say never ever do high level collabs within kpop using 3gen or new groups. The fans just will not accept it even year end one offs get a ton of crap.

To your point at the end of the day NCT U could do this just pulling from NCT units. All taemin and the exo kids add is established presence.

Its not going to be more popular than exo but it may very well crush any nct units sales.

Well they announced this at a Capitol Records event if I'm not mistaken and the group is gonna be promoting in the US, I think this is SM's way of improving their brand reputation in the western market my combining the fandom power of their boy groups. I think this is their first step towards launching a American boy group.

I really loved their latest track that got English version, Highway To Heaven, and that could do well on the US market, if it were sang by someone else. You just can't force it to happen, it should happen gradually and I think that's one of these things were SM went wrong.

Taemin seems to do so well but I was actually surprised by his 'low' sales, because even though he sells 80k-90k, I feel that he deserves to sell a lot more. I think his problem is that he has a lot of casual fans (me included) who don't support him enough to buy an album.

I think it could sell 300-400k? Because these members fans don't care if they're marketed for the US, you can still buy an album.

Shinee over all has never sold crazy 2-300k seems to be the number.

Taemin is actually the highest. at 50-120k ish

poet sold 200k + but ... well his other stuff was also 70-90
