As it stands....
1) YGE takes another share plunge of 13%
1) All of BTS renews and HYBE take a share dump of 5%
2) SM shares plummet as well
3) JYPE shares take a dive too

"But I don't give a rat's ass about BP or shares!"

Fine, let me put things in perspective for you......

Blackpink disbanding or going "part-time" or going solo or going with another Agency is not the problem here.
The problem is, they are the biggest group in the world right now, let alone Kpop!
Will Kpop survive? OFC it will!
Will it be the same for while? Absolutely f*ckin' not!

BP brought sooooo much international exposure to Kpop, its unreal! (forget the touring, forget the "yeah, my faves did that too!). They did for Kpop what PSY did for it 12 years ago! They put it on the map before they even set out to tour it! With minimal releases and a pathetic comeback schedule I might add!

Now for most of us "Kpop experts" its not exactly straight forward. We've been listening to this genre forever and you're practically thinking that Nyaz is delulu here! But look around you! ESPECIALLY IN THE WEST! How many people do you think started to remotely listen to Kpop because of Blackpink? A sh*t load of them! And I'm not talking about Kcons in cities of 10M people where half of it is Asian here! I'm merely talking about markets like Boise Idaho, Austin Texas, Lake whatever in Canada or Gringa Mexico!

As I said, Blink or not, Blonk or not, they have a direct influence on some aspects of the industry as a whole! And I wouldn't go as far as claiming that their disbandment would be a tragedy for the industry but I'll surely state that it would have a grave negative outcome on it! YGE better get creative here and find ways to unf*ck this situation or the ramifications will be exponentially bigger than most think!

Your mileage may vary, this is my free world opinion! But every now and then..... I'm right!

well, I actually agree with you. But thankfully, they're renewed. So that's part of the puzzle is taken' care of.
But the fact remains, BP is huge as well. Like 'em or not.

Personally I'm still not too worried. BP is big, but they did not really do much most of the time, thanks to their very good agency, who always treated them well and is certainly not to blame for the current state of things

Let's see how bad they wanna survive as an agency. Cauz, lets face it, I'm not entirely sure Teddy oppa will hang around either! Unless they swing everything to TBL, which would make sense ig.

Honestly there is zero reason to stay with yg.
Unlike BTS they did not get a ground floor piece of the company.

BP is a case study in not effectively using your brand until it becomes inferior to the individual. Like say destiny's child. although they did that on purpose, DC was always a tool to get b to solo land.

Where as JYP worked twice hard and never let the individuals out shine the team.

Snsd same Taeyeon is a monster yet she has still never sold in the area of 12-13 year old snsd sales. Even while SM let them build careers for themselves throughout the entire run.

I don't about you but BP as a brand as a whole is worth more than the sum of it's parts
sure the members individually might parts ways from YGE and go to their own agencies etc etc but BP will still be there

YGE is done if they fail, i'll tell you that. This is not 9 years ago when they had BB, 2NE1 and Ikon to resort to. They've got nothing to fall on this time. So yeah, oppar yg better get a grip on it or his building will become another student lounge downtown Seoul!

sure but I'm a kpop fan and a BP fan - I couldn't give a rat's ass about YGE (or any other entertainment company lol)
