When we look at history, everyone started out horrible. What would be referred to as “savage”. Stuff that is downright murderous was even seen as normal and later confronted by a minority and changed. And yet there’s still progress, more humane practices being instated even now, and when ppl made a lot of progress in one area, other things they did, that are looked down upon now, but were commonplace at the time, are seen as “who cares about times were different, they still should’ve known better”. If everyone should have known better at all times regardless, why didn’t they? Why is progress still having to be made? Why weren’t the first humans what you picture to be perfect in terms of basic human rights? Is life and society just about learning to be less horrible, after being taught and introduced to society’s current level so you don’t start from pure primal instinct “horrible-ness”.

Love how all these big epiphanies we learn about people having and seeing as smart, introspective, deep, enlightened, etc. when they’re much older I was seen as dumb for thinking of at 10, 12, 13, 15 years old. Absolutely love it.

The problem with making anyone a saint is they then lose the right to be human. The opportunity to be wrong, learn they’re wrong, and grow, to make mistakes. No one is perfect, everyone has room to improve. And finding flaws, finding mistakes, this “saint” made, just ruins this rose-tinted image of them, and is just brushed away, ignored, covered up, so they can be revered, and elevated to god status. History is rewritten as if it’s a fictional story’s second draft being more fleshed out with ideas exchanged. Ignorance is shared so that someone can believe that something that brought so much good was started by someone who was so perfect

Is anyone truly, only good, will anyone ever be? No

A religion started by a single human or revering any human as a god will never work. No one ever knows everything

Wondering how anyone can really be proud of they are? If you look back at all the ancestors, all the cultures, there’s always something horrible that an ancestor did, and people just became less horrible over time.

I had a lot of ancestors who committed suicide as an example.

I meant more like harming other people, but yeah, suicide is not good either ofc, but I don't think I'd consider them a horrible person for that?

Sometimes it’s just a matter of perspective

the villain in your story can be the hero in someone else’s and the villain you experienced could be the way you’re to someone else

and it’s all real

there’s really no perfect person and there’s really no one experience one person can give to everyone who encounters them

repentance and gratefulness are good

I’m not patient I’m quite impatient actually

but I find people think I’m patient bc how can I rage at someone for a mistake that I make too? It’s hypocritical and arrogant. And I try not to be a hypocrite
