Magical Devices in Harry Potter (1 Viewer)

This time it’s about scenes involving magical devices that are used in the series. There are so many i’d love to actually possess, especially after seeing them actualized in the movies like The Marauder’s Map. Could be useful to find my pup when he goes and hides under a laundry pile or in the bathroom. It’s also where I find his hidden stash of treats >.>

One of the best scenes has to be with the Time Turner. It’s a device that lets you travel back short distances in time. Hermione was given a Time Turner to better manage her schedule and in the movie, Dumbledore subtly instructs Hermione to use the device to save Buckbeak and Sirius. And thus, with 3 turns, Harry and Hermione go about and do what they can to prevent the original scenes from playing out. Which, technically was already done for most parts solving the mystery of the rock thrown at Hagrid’s, the view of the pumpkin being sliced whereas the gang thought it was Buckbeak, and the howl distracting Lupin’s werewolf form.



AND we once again get to witness Malfoy being punched by Hermione.

The punch does look fake in the original scene, I’m gonna put that out there. Obviously, no one should actually get hurt while filming. Plus, they must have had to film that scene several times so it could make its second appearance later on with the Time Turner. It’s also just generally fun to see the same scenes played out at different angles.

Not sure if they count here, but mine are The Mirror of Erised, the Weasley family clock and Marauder's Map, ofc.

Just think of the damage i could do to sports books and lotteries with a time turner. massive amounts of money seem handy in both worlds.
a greater invis cloak yep yep yep
a handy portal to toss my enemies through might be some value in that.
a flying car that goes invis .check.
and of a room of Req in my leet house :) (where the portal is stored too cant have that lying about.

Marauder's Map can only help you track living beings.

but there's definitely a spell somewhere that can help you track and summon objects.

Certainly!!
Always thought voldy was a fool. he goes thru all that effort for a cult of nuts and really poorly thought out plans. Sure lets choose the method that insures i have to cut of chunks of my soul and kill people thus making me a damaged target.
if he is that smart make his own Sorcerers stone (another handy item btw if ya really really want to be rich and hang around for a few100 years.)

The Marauder's map has always fascinated me. On the other hand, the infamous "veil" was always very intriguing and scary to me (not sure it counts as device)
