Not over any other food, I like some cuisines quite a bit, but I do like it more than most cuisines

My brother prefers wine but is pretty open to others, my mom champagne generally if anything (she doesn’t drink much), my dad likes whiskey, and I don’t drink. One of my grandfathers does prefer vodka though. But yeah very few of us prefer vodka considering we have other options, Russians historically drank more vodka because it was avaliable to them and they could make it themselves, which is likely why people associate Russia with it so much. A fair number of people in Russia do like vodka to this day though.

My sister used to be obsessed with Hetalia so I’ve heard of it yeah
Russia is still the number one country when it comes to consumption of vodka, followed by other countries in the area so there is some truth to it to this day, likely because it’s still probably somewhat cheaper to drink something made in the area than something imported, though that’s less true than it used to be. My family doesn’t follow the stereotype though, possibly because we aren’t surrounded by the culture anymore and vodka just isn’t the go to alcohol in the US, so it’s less prevelant in alcohol stores.

I actually kind of visit specialty stores once ever month or two, but funny enough the specialty store we visit most often is the Asian one. We visit a russian/slavic one like once every 6 months or so.
And Actually my speaking is much better than my reading, and my listening comprehension is best of all. I do pronounce some things wrong, and I don't know all the Russian words a person who lived in Russia would know, but I could get by in Russia when it comes to speaking and understanding. Reading is mediocre and writing is a whole other story though

Well rhythmic gymnastics and figure skating are harder to find in the US, I've never seen a rhythmic gymnastics gym at all I don't think. Ballet is more common, my sister did do it for like a year as a kid, but the gymnastics gym we went to was super close to us, a 10 minute drive, and it was considered pretty decent, so thats probably the biggest reason why we ended up doing any form of sport like that.
Also the specialty store we go to for slavic food is pretty far, which is why we rarely go. It used to be near my sisters college but then she graduated and we dont go out in that area much at all anymore. If it was closer I think we would go there more often though. And there are Russian foods that we can make with the ingredients at a normal supermarket, like borscht and beef stroganoff. But it is true some ingredients, like tvorog, you cant find at normal supermarkets.
And my parents both speak Russian and growing up I learned Russian before English, so I can understand and speak Russian okay. At home I use a mixture of Russian and English with my parents, and with some relatives only Russian because they don't know English. Though there is one relative that makes me wish I didn't speak Russian because I don't like talking to her

My immediate family are all aetheists, I don't tend to ask about religion with other Russian Americans so I cant speak as to their status though
Also I do have a German-Russian grandma who not only is orthodox but she also tries to convince me to be one
