I'm bored af and have been marathoning Marvel with a friend since I haven't really watched any of the films.

So this is a thread just for my ramblings and thoughts as I go through-and of course don't scroll through this if you don't wan tto be spoiled and also PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL ME!

Movies I have marathoned so far:
Iron Man: 7/10
Iron Man 2: 8/10
Captain America: 9/10
Avengers: 8/10

Currently watching: Iron man 3

Iron man is funny and I actually really liked both movies-I preferred the second one JUST BECAUSE there was more action in it I feel like and I'm a sucker for action in hero movies!

Oh boy I LOVE the first IronMan movie, hate the 2nd one, still conflicted about the 3rd.
Captain America 1st one is just decent to me, BUT OMG THE 2ND ONE And the 3rd
And I actually love the first Thor lol, 2nd one is the worst MCU solo movie to me, but then the 3rd makes up big time.

The hardest part about most first movies is the level of Exposition, and the bad guy.
Captain America is easier in that its set in a time most (american especially ) movies goers are aware and comfortable with, so not much explaining has to be done and its a WW 2 war movie everyone hates Hitler.

You may be right about Thor for you, it is action at front and back quiet second act. It is an important piece in the MCU .
Personally i like it but I was most connected with Thor/spider man comic books as a kid so that could be an influence.

Cap Am: The First Avenger had glimpses of greatness to me but didn't quite follow through. The whole setup of weak Steve Rogers becoming Captain America is the best buildup to becoming a hero Marvel has done to date. But the war stuff is kinda weak to me, the fact that they choose to do a montage of some of his heroic moments in the war instead of actually letting the action unfold on screen kinda makes it drop off to me.
And despite Red Skull, the stakes never feel as high.
But I still like it coz the characters are all so likeable, Steve, Bucky, Peggy, even Howard Stark lol.

Winter Soldier is when Cap officially becomes super cool for me

I turned into a Marvel fan after watching Thor. I love him. The second movie is really good too but the third one was hilarious. I think it's my favorite out of all the solo movies. You have to watch it! And you're watching it all in order right?

I can't wait until my break, I want to have a Marvel marathon too!

Yeh she really annoyed me in the movies. I skipped most of her scenes. She's just a boring actor honestly. The character wasn't terrible but she just made her terrible with her acting.
