tbh I can understand where both sides are coming from, like the need for recognition as an individual and not as a set in this larger group, but also the upsetness at seeing another member priorise solo ventures that don’t bring any real benefit to the group
but tbh the fan reaction is really what’s selling it because they take everything so far and make it all so unnecessarily personal

over half did acting / musical stuff(Yoona, Yuri, Sooyoung, Tiffany, Taeyeon, Jessica ) which aside from Yoona early on did not do much for the group. Similar to all of Krystal/Suili ..

Variety stuffs plays into the idol life more .
To be honest i have always felt that J and K was more of the problem than B& E.
B & E took the hit cuz it would spin better. Anyone says they were mad about Jung sis time then the optics on that are awful.

yeah, unless we get an exec from back then to actually put down what happened, it’ll just be a he said she said situation; but I do think that J does offer some interesting insight on the company’s workings; like I’m fairly confident for eg that the main reason why W and not the other debut team trainees (C, S, HZ, HS, etc) got to debut was because she was a staff favourite who they openly pushed for, which she alluded to being an important factor
I honestly do want to know more about the inner workings of the ent companies though, even if it seems like she’s trying to whitewash sm (the old guard of execs bad, the new guard good, everything is the members’ fault and decision) because I feel like that’s when she’s most consistently honest and reliable
