My Assumptions When I First Got Into Kpop (1 Viewer)

1) That the positions in groups were:English Speaker, Vocalist, and Rapper.

2)Thought the big 3 was Cube, Bighit, and YG.

3)Didn't know that any company other than YG existed for a period of time.

4)Thought every kpop girl group did the girl crush concept.

5)Thought Momo from Twice was in Momoland.

6)Thought all groups were like Destiny's child (where one member does all the singing and the others members are just there to be back-up singers)

Because the first time I heard a kpop song was through an AMV for an Anime I assumed the kpop songs I got recommended were Jpop songs. It wasn't until I listened harder to the song that I realized it was Korean and not Japanese
I was 13 and clueless lmao

Honestly there pretty much are positions based on language & outreach to a certain demographic. But it would be weird to label them.
