my parents and i occasionally watch kpop performances and mv's together. mostly it's my mom and i but sometimes my dad will tolerate watching it too. my dad doesn't like kpop but gives it a chance (kind of) because i love it and we listen to it as a family. my mom likes kpop but doesn't seriously get into groups, she only knows what i show her. she likes boy groups a lot more than girl groups. she "stans" (interested in them and likes a lot of their music) bts, exo, hyuna, and blackpink. she is not a fan of cute concepts at all.

my dad:
- liked the pink outfits, liked the house outfits, hated the plaid outfits
- thought the song was ok but not his vibe
- agreed some scenes looked whitewashed
me:
- same thoughts as dad on outfits
- liked the song except the 'umpha umpha' lines and the rap
- noticed whitewashed scenes
my mom:
- "there was a rap??"
- liked yeri a lot

my dad:
- outfits were meh
- hated the dance, described it as "bee-boping"
- liked the song and would listen to it if i put it on
me:

- didn't really notice outfits and dance
my mom:
- the music video was way to cutesy for her
- thought the song was okay

- the black outfits were awesome, the white ones were basic but good and didn't like the more expiremental ones

My family is the opposite. also since i really do not care for videos i do not show them to them often.
umpah, PU, Rookie, ICC snsds j ballads are fine. Lovelyz mv's on occasion Achoo destiny type stuff.
Live performances that is what we watch. I have a history of finding nice vocalist for them to listen to.
Dad especially loves Celtic woman.
Mom like the groups i like SNSD, Lovelyz, Apink, gfriend RV IZ one ect: Dad puts up with it because we like them the other language deal is just annoying to him :)

I would never show them everglow, 4min bp any gc/ rap ( they would hate it) worse than i do.
I actually do not show them any velvet like say rbb, or zim they would hate it for different reasons( that dirty bass would kill mom right away.)

Your family seems to be very open-minded. My family is so prejudiced against Kpop that they denied Chen vocal talent when I showed them some videos just because he is Asiatic except my mother and my two brothers ( but one is a Kpop fan like me and the other one mainly listen to metal).

yeah we listen to it in the car a lot and they like to make fun of it then but usually when we sit down as a family to watch things i actually get a genuine response
