Yes, they are known for biting and head butting their keepers. They are notoriously difficult to train too.

I do have to say if it’s illegal, wants to bite you, and difficult to train it might not be the greatest choice for a pet

But they are so freaking CUTE! And seriously, I had a lot of tarantula's and they are venomious, bite and CANNOT be trained!

Besides, at least tarantulas aren’t endangered and/or illegal to own, at least not the ones you had. If you had the endangered types that are illegal to own shame on you

My friend is terrified of goats because of a bad experience with one
I’m sure they can be kind though, I don’t know enough to be able to judge all goats.

Many countries encourage tarantula breeding of endanged species. Mexico has a program where half of the Tarantula's breed in captivity are sent back to mexico and released in to the wild to save the population. The only country's who's being weird about these types of programs are Brazil and Sumatra. All other countries are working with breeders to save their Tarantula populations. It's actually amazing.
