Maybe. Idk what they are thinking. They might be trying to get some of their established fanbases to hype up the group and want something completely “fresh” for the tokyo unit but SM isn’t exactly communicative are they? Especially about their dirty laundry…

This is so awful for these guys. They spent time integrating them into this group, made a whole show about "Welcome to the NCT Universe" only to pull the rug out from under them. It's not fair to them. It's clear SM used the NCT fanbase to create a built-in fanbase for this new crappy group. And I feel terrible for the poor new members coming into NCT Tokyo who will be hated for not being the members everyone became attached to.
