why people looking for a issue where there isnt one
it ridiculous
they havent actually done anything wrong
i think people are looking for reasons to hate nctIt's considered offensive by many Muslims. Tourists have been deported from countries for the same reason.

I've seen a lot of muslims find it offensive to their culture. And other groups like Idle and IZONE have gotten flack for this tooi think people are looking for reasons to hate nct
as alot Muslims also saying there is no issue here
[including my friends irl]
i wont agree sorryI've seen a lot of muslims find it offensive to their culture. And other groups like Idle and IZONE have gotten flack for this too
Nothings wrong with the MV so it makes sense she saw nothing wrong there but their standards are different than yours you know. If you want some examples as to what can be offensive you can take their clothes for example. Their clothes would not follow dress codes for many Islamic countries as they show too much skin in Taeyongs case with the lace and another member too (Lucas I think, I don't remember). Then as for dance moves, the body rolls would likely be seductive by their standards. Doing things like that in front of a holy place doesn't sit right with many muslims. That's not even counting the muslims who consider it insulting to dance and sing in front of worship places, which exist.i wont agree sorry
unless someone explains how this is actually offensive
instead of just saying it offensive
it will just be people trying make drama
and i wont jump on any hate train
i ask people i know in real life who dont even like kpop but are Muslim and they dont see whats wrong
[[[one of my friends said she could see some hints of her culture in the mv but she didn't see what was wrong with it]]]
i will always wait until i get a full explanation on why something is wrong
instead of just going of someone just something is so
and i did bit of googling just now
[it only wrong to dance seductively in front of a mosque {{and being female but wont get into that}} ]
and people being banned from countries for dancing
wasnt cause they were dancing it because they were wearing crop tops and short shorts
if you read the article what i just did
[[and it was a temporary ban]]

I said their clothes and dancing is offensive to their religion. Plus religion and culture are different.i think i wont agree tbh
as finding something offensive vs it actually being disrespectful is very different things
unless they are actually doing something against the culture
and someone explains with details there no issue here
yes i know they are treading on egg shells
maybe they should of put more thought into the concept
should all 23 members apologise no
plus they dancing in front of a picture so even with a actual building the rules arent clear so meh
im not out right saying sm is in the right
cause if i was a company i wouldnt use muslim culture at all tbh as they are very strict and easy to upset
but at the same time
im always on the side of if you want your culture to be known and respected
maybe teach people about your culture nicely instead of sending death threats
plus there was clearly no bad intentions here so imma wait until someone goes
... in our rules this is offensive because...
as no1 done that yet it just seems too soon to take as such
have you seen any clear explanation on why this is offensive ?
[[prob why sm hasn't said sorry yet also tbh]]
yeh but the building is a shadow and not even a real mosqueI said their clothes and dancing is offensive to their religion. Plus religion and culture are different.
Mosques are sacred and taken very seriously by many practicing muslims, dancing, singing and generally just using them for a concept isn't appropriate at all.i wont agree sorry

but there theme is Aladdin and this the castle from the film/book so i would argue it not even meant to be a mosqueMosques are sacred and taken very seriously by many practicing muslims, dancing, singing and generally just using them for a concept isn't appropriate at all.
It's not an aesthetic, drama or prop, it's people's religion and it's best to not toy around with it for profit
There are other building they could have used to fit the song
That's an actual mosque though, there isn't anything to argue.but there theme is Aladdin and this the castle from the film/book so i would argue it not even meant to be a mosque
[[there more than one version of the aladdin castle so send 2 versions]]]

Not only that but aside from general structure, those building don't look much a like. They'd have been better off using the actual cartoon, a genie lamp or even any non religious arabic/middle eastern architecture
It doesn't matter what it's meant to be, it is a mosque. Being lazy and incompetent isn't an excuse for basically anything, let alone someone's culture and religioni didnt say it wasnt a mosque
i said it i would argue it not ...meant.. to be a mosque
meaning prob a mistake
as i can see how they could googled Aladdin castle than thought a mosque was a castle.. as there a chance they cant read English
or translation mistake or the image search
i know they be better of just dropping the Aladdin theme all together
but i aint hating on nct for something so small
