Beyond the Kwangya (NEW! SM hijinks corner) :

• Hybe distributed a statement to SM shareholders requesting they delegate their voting rights to Hybe for specific changes and appointment of directors and auditor. They point out that the current SM leadership is not trustworthy because they signed the deal with LSM in the first place.

• SBS had an exclusive with a SM VP who is against the SM/Kakao deal because it gives Kexclusive domestic distribution rights over all SM physical albums and digital downloads/streaming. SM will cooperate with Kakao Ent overseas partners. Kakao would also be the ticket vendor for concerts and fanmeets. These are some of the llargest revenue streams for the company, in addition to merch.
• This tweet thread is definitely worth a read on the existing contracts that a Korean paper has obtained. Tl, dr: LSM and Capitol took a f-ton of $$ from SuperM and LSM took a ton from WayV, who were apparently more profitable than everyone thought before he took his cut.

• It's being reported that Kakao told investors pre-IPO that it was going to acquire SM.
