Bunnies essentially helped prolong this issue by keeping the members delusional about the reality of the situation they were in since Min Heejins whole strategy basically boiled down to a PR campaign to isolate NewJeans that was helped by actual fans of the group joining in and siding with NewJeans even to this day with some saying "1 down, 4 to go". Anyone saying this is out of touch with the fact that Ablume have spoken about how they could not promote through normal Kpop routes due to being blacklisted because of the tampering specifically which is exactly the lawsuit Danielle is now part of so for someone who has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child her career is going to be taking a massive hit.

From talking up NewJeans having a special clause in their contract that allowed them to terminate it to saying they have more evidence after losing the injunction verdict pretty lopsidedly while there was very little rooted in actual reality to show their side had some kind of ace up their sleeve that was going to turn the tide and instead made it clear since their termination live that they had very little idea what they were getting themselves into. They had people talking them up for going against the big bad corporation because these people were not concerned with the very real potential outcome and consequences it would have for their careers which now Danielle is going to experience.

It is far from moral to go with an outcome that punishes someone whose biggest issue is trusting the wrong people just because you don't want to ruin the story you came up with in your head especially when the reality of the situation is far different. Practicing critical thinking will help you provide actual good advice and opinions on situations that maybe would have foiled Min Heejins plans sooner if she had never gotten the fan support instead of Danielle breaking her contract terms because she was not expecting Ador to actually cut her.

Just because you might be safe from the consequences of a situation doesn't mean there are no consequences to it at all and it would be wise to remember that actions which may mean nothing to you can have a big impact on other people.

Yeah, I feel like after the Fifty Fifty and NewJeans cases, and even farther back to situations like T-ara's Hwayoung and AOA's Mina... just because it's an idol saying it doesn't mean they are being honest, transparent, or acting on motives beyond their own selfishness. Or even if they are telling elements of the truth, that they aren't misrepresenting the facts to cast themselves more favorably. I totally get the impulse to be like fuck the giant corporation, but it should be grounded in reality and facts.

It's completely understandable to be skeptical of companies since in this case and both of the cases you mentioned the companies certainly could have done more. Giving Min Heejin her own company with almost 0 CEO background skills to go off was pretty wild but most people just thought she was weird at most instead of being closer to evil that I'd say she is now.

:sadcat: it's sad.. I don't understand how she could be this stubborn, her life will be ruined now, even if she ends up not losing in court, it will be a nightmare to be tied up in the court for years to come
I'd be shocked if she pulled out the win since Hybe has been very careful ever since Min Heejin won that first case basically for Hybe not letting her incriminate herself where as now they let Team Bunnies pull all kind of stuff before filing a lawsuit against them through BeLift.

I'm slightly curious tho if MHJ is just as evil/more evil/or less evil than YHS/LSM/Bang PD/other kpop CEOS, since she made so much bank for ADOR without spending as much as those 3/others. Her main crime seems to be taking money to found ADOR then producing NewJeans to success seemingly unprecedented in kpop IN SUCH A SHORT TIMEFRAME(I neither stan MHJ nir NJ but im conflicted as to the narrative <Jessica is my bias so I am pro-member of gg being mistreated/removed without knowing the entire story> maybe I'm just naive/ignorant/innocent:sicatape:

I think the "Evil" is the clear manipulation of the girls, and actually trying to steal the company and group.

Initially she was hired to push Sources group over the line. She played a delaying game that led to her grabbing the trainees she wanted and getting a company. Then was pissed because she took so long getting them to market that Source still got le sserafim out the door first.

I also found it telling that Yeri jumped on her pretty hard during the sexualizing minors dust up.

Well out of the group you have mentioned they all have suspicious characters to a degree but some like Yang are closer to criminal than just being suspicious. Min Heejin was actively manipulating people though in a way that I at least have not heard the other big CEOs doing which is closer to evil than some of the stuff that you'd accuse the others of.

As for Danielle Hybe spoke through an article saying she had signed other contracts and did not amend this by the deadline which Danielle hasn't said anything denying that which would be a pretty easy thing to refute if it wasn't true.

Don't forgot also that she picked drowning Illit in plagiarism accusations by basically throwing darts at a board since there was multiple options for it including groups in other companies.

Oh, 100%. I totally get why people jump to siding with the idols every single time, and even where the company has been correct, there have been things they could have done better to not let things get to that point. (Attrakt's almost baffling level of trust that they went without documentation being an obvious example.)

But there have been enough instances where it's become clear that the idol is presenting a sob story and the facts don't match what they are telling you to believe that I'm a lot more hesitant to take sides in any initial scuffle now. Much less cling to one side past where the facts support.

I'll admit that it was a bit mean of me to say that "she screwed herself" in the other thread about her. Maybe I could've used better words. But at the same time, I still believe that she shouldn't have breached her contract. Doing so really wasn't going to help her case because now Ador/Hybe are seeking millions from her.

I am not at all a fan of NewJeans, especially after this "mistreatment" mess, but even I wouldn't wish for her or the other members to possibly be put in debt for the rest of their lives. These girls need to be more careful with what they're doing

as far as I understood, the breach has already happend anyways, but the problem with Dani seems to be, that she was not willing to rectify the stuff HYBE asked for.. and thats why they terminated her

Some people just seem too easy to believe everything that comes out as news like I remember when the issue with Haras boyfriend came up it was from the boyfriend framing himself as the victim which I was skeptical about since it does happen but something seemed off. Then the next update was the guy went to where she was and beat her so bad she had to go to the hospital for internal bleeding while she was with a friend so changing your opinion on a situation as information comes out is just the correct way to handle things even if it means you suffer the world's greatest tragedy of being wrong.

The sentiment online is pretty harsh to them overall which is understandable if you're a fan of the groups they've stood by their mother yapping about but the oldest member is 21 now and the timeline at least says this has been going on since around the issues with Gfriends termination when she was 17.

That being said if Danielle even after everything is still being antagonistic to Hybe then I personally lose sympathy for her as it's one thing to do it while being kept away from talking to Hybe and it's another to do it while in talks of returning to them which says more about where she's aligned than anything else so far.

I'd be more than welcome to picking their side if they actually put forward anything that substantially showed Hybe in a bad light but NewJeans just hasn't done that and it's shown by the fact they've lost almost every step of the way. I don't want to be seeing any big company being Hybe, SM or JYP as the good guy in a situation however between Min Heejin and Hybe it's easy to see based on evidence that Hybe is unfortunately the lesser of two evils.
