What is your state on 'girls having to wear make up to be pretty'?

Honestly, I feel like it is a terrible concept.

If a female wants to wear makeup, she should.
If she doesn't want to, it is not her duty to be visually attractive in the eyes of men or other women.
That being said, if a women chooses to wear makeup, rather than asking her about her priorities and if she wears it to look nice, her standards should be a private thing that she should have a choice to share.
