Might have been effects but I don't know enough about painting to be able to spot the difference between a real painting and an effect

Yeah looks like it. Looking at sites that have the album up for pre-order, I got to look at the album details better. It looks like there’s two versions, but only one photobook. The differences are the cover, CD and the pop-up card.
