I doubt that that's the case as Taiwan has been featured a lot in the past (tbh that could also be a reason why..) Could also depend on whether there is a specific theme for the 'battle'.

Just looked up recent episodes and another team have already been to Taiwan this month.

Though you're right that JYP could still be slightly cautious about the whole Taiwan issue from a few years ago.
