This is confusing because isn’t this group supposed to be permanent and he’s already in Pentagon???

I'm just going to copy and paste something I sent to a friend because as a Universe, I'm super baffled by this...


So, firstly Hui came back from enlistment very recently and he’s been with the group actively promoting with them. Like, he’s literally done end of the year performances with them. And Universe are expecting him to be with them for their grp cb next year. He’s also really their main producer usually, so he’ll be making songs for that this time as well.

Like, it’s possible for him to promote in both grps, but… being realistic here… that’s a lot to ask of him. To be active in both grps and to be doing producing on top of that. And it’s dick move to Universe to yank him into a survival show after we just got him back.

Also, the bp999 grp will have a longer contract than kep1er so he’ll be with the grp for a long while (if he theoretically makes it in).

That’s not to mention that this man is like 30. He’s more than polished as an idol in terms of vocals and performance. Like, to the teens and younger adults on this show with not as much experience, that’s not fair, and it will look weird to have this really grown ass man with a buncha kids.

Also, i hope this means cube hasn’t given up on ptg bc they are a successful grp. Like, i see some pple say “oh this is an opportunity for a small idol to get known”, but yo ptg is fine. They are known. A decent mid tier group. And they sell pretty well. 100k+ isn’t anything to scoff at and Hui is already respected in the industry through his production work. Like, nothing about this makes sense.

I hope that this news is some kind of miscommunication issue or bad reporting bc it would make more sense for him to participate as a mentor more than a contestant….
