Phrases and Confusion (1 Viewer)

Do you phrase certain ideas or things in a way that others [outside of your family/friends] find weird. For me I know people where I live are not in the habit of hearing non-brits say bugger nearly as much as I do. Or the fact that I say Eh or Erm as much as I do. It comes from the fact that I was raised in along the border of the United States and Canada with heavy tourism by Canadians as well as the fact that my grandmother (whom I spent a lot of time with) immigrated from Birmingham and as such used many colloquialisms that a Brit would, ergo Bugger...

I call sliced bread cotton ball bread
And I didnt know what an airsip or waterfall (drinking kind) was until yesterday
But growing up here has made me pretty Northeastern otherwise

Off the top of my head not really. Mostly due to the fact that I don't talk to a lot of people as a rule.
