Not surprising as Pledis has always had an active girl group so they aren't going to stop even if they really have yet to actually totally hit with a girl group since as big as some of the hits their girl groups have had however they don't exactly get grouped with the peers of theirs that you would consider legendary except for Orange Caramel under sub-unit metrics.

Thats kinda the issue the pledis gg start out good then they just let them drift into the wind.
they can build and train very good groups, but have not been able to promote or sustain them .
Fomis_9 is unique in that they didn't start as a pledis gg . The chaos of their journey had them end up at pledis.

for example gfriend or Apink have had more impact (and probally sales ) that all of pledis's gg combined. ( picked them because they were only child girl groups from smaller or brand new agencies.)

Sales wise at least those 3 groups are pretty close (900k - 1 mio total sales), only the japanese releases put gfriend and apink slighty ahead of fromis

and that is also the problem i picked those 2 because they are older and have non top tier sales.
Neither has had an album break 100k ( That number was a big deal back in the day.) pre 2017/IZ*ONE
only SNSD , KARA, RV, Twice, BP , 21 off the top of my head broke 100k (and Kara needed Japan sales to do it more than once) Wonder girls never did.

Yet both have had monster hits that are almost imposable to not know if you have been in kpop for some years.

yep yep Fromis did amazing after the merger 2-4 X their prev sales. ( the merger did f all for gfriend if anything it was worse. My guess is because HYBE music is not gfriends fans prefer style ) fromis was able to appeal more to hybes audience.

yes but Itzy debuted before corona, the big sales for GG only came during that period

i dont think its loyalty more that each of the big agencies have styles and fans that a drawn to those styles.
For example YG fans specifically like that style and it wil appeal to non kpop users often.
I myself am more drawn to SM groups especially older groups more in LSM's style.
JYP for sure has a specific style/vibe
Hybe has a core demo slightly off from YG's. Ador was the exception to that style, but they still benefited from the eyes of that monster demo.

Cube has Nothing only Idle's self production has saved them.
Starship seems to hit and miss, for example this yea IVE was a hard miss for me and soft miss for the gp.
