honestly if poc themselves stopped being racist and tried to bond together and fight white supremacy collectively our problems woulda been solved long ago


but noooo, we really have to go out and have racial tensions. sometimes it will literally be within people of the same race. light skinned vs dark skinned. this country vs that country. this opinion vs this one. The amount of racism I've seen towards other POC coming from Asians as an Asian myself just makes me...wow....like what? arent you supposed to understand them and the stuff they go through? how are you gonna complain about racism and then be acitvely racist? and the stereotypes too. i've literally heard the phrase " people who are xx are so racist. its probably because they're all uneducated" which makes NO sense whatsoever.

and i mean, we're not even gonna get into the south asian or south east erasure that comes from a lot of east asians communities bc thats a whole another convo . same applies to erasure of any group within another race...its so common. please stop w the invalidation smh

and the fact that poc being racist often gets thrown under the bus simply bc they're poc...major yikes. being a poc does NOT make you better than a white person and it never will. your race does not determine your worth. you should absolutely be proud of your roots but belittling other poc's due to a superiority complex is definitely not the way to go about things.

and can people that aren't south asian PLEASE stop saying wearing henna is cultural appropriation? it is NOT and never has been. literally almost no south asian considers it ca so stop speaking for us

yeah and it's funny how some poc people repeatedly talk about racism against them when they are literally apart of the problem it literally doesn't make sense if you are against racism but go out of your way to be racist and it's a bit hypocritical tbh and its a bit embarrassing of how much hypocrisy is found in the poc community

I'm honestly so tired of POC complaining about racism in SNS but at the same time being very ignorant and racist towards other poc communities. As a black- latina, I can tell you that we have enough with the colorism and social stigma within our own society, as to deal with the invalidation coming from other POC.
