Ever since this episode aired, this line has been stuck with me.
In reality, what if there were scientists and doctors who already had developed some cancer cures long ago and just decided to bury the discoveries from the public out of personal greed to make massive profits from deals with pharmaceutical companies?
And people could have been foolishly donating money to companies that promised they will do research in creating cures, whereas behind the scenes, the money went directly to big pharma and those employees instead.
