I had time so I watched ep 1 of Tower of God. Hear tons of people say it's a great series. First impression wasn't great though. Honestly this episode bored me. I suppose it's too early to judge the show but I really don't think this was a strong first episode.

Idk if you have seen the webtoon but I know where you come from. It was way too fast paced, they cut out a lot of important info and details about the world and characters on than ep. It's going to be difficult to engage in the story if you're an anime only watcher.
Let's see what happens next, this is just the first episode but I hope they can get it straight with the info and storyline because otherwise it'll be a painful failure.

Oof I forgot to reply to this cuz I was gonna finish the last episode before replying but then it took me a whole day to finish it cuz I was too scared to actually start playing it

Actually this comment was the thing that made me prioritize it in my watchlist

Made in Abyss was something else...

I think it benefits with or without a warning tbh. Like for some people it was a crazy surprise, but for me just the slightest hint that something's a bit darker than it seems is enough to get me running to it cuz I love shit like that, even if it literally leaves me traumatized...
it took me days to get over the sound of mitty screaming as she just transformed into a pile of flesh like literally what the fucking fuck i'm scarred, when she got blasted it wasn't just her soul that was released from the torment, I was just glad I didn't have to look into her eye again as she begs to be released from her creepy flesh prison

I did enjoy Tower of God, but I admit that the pacing felt bit weird in first ep.

Dorohedoro, finished airing couple days ago. Has lot of violence and some gore, but the approach towards violence is mostly non-challant and humorous so it's not too bad. My favorite anime this year so far, I love the mystery aspects of it and how despite all it's kinda wholesome.

Mob Psycho 100 , great spin on shonen series with great animation and deep topics.

Hinamatsuri, another wacky show that makes you both laugh and cry.

Parasyte is quite fun too, the art style is a bit bland (especially after we just finished Hanako kun lol) but I feel like it would be difficult to do the monsters if they stylised it a bit more cuz it would be harder to take em seriously, the actual plot is a 10/10 and it rly gave me smth to think about as I was watching it.

Another interesting anime would be Shinsekai Yori, I heard a lot of ppl are put off bc of the art style but I think if u stick around for a bit longer then you might actually fall in love with it. In fact the entire vibe of the anime is a bit strange and possibly off putting so I would say only watch it if you are actually willing to give it a chance, because it really is worth it if you are.

The whole anime is grotesque. Like so weird and also ridiculous. So ridiculous that I laughed a lot (the hell was that baseball episode, its made me laugh so hard also Johnson is ) But its so interesting, every episode is exciting, there was no filler.

I love the characters too on both sides (kinda reminded me of tokyo ghoul where we also could relate to both sides: human and ghouls, its the same here). En and his gang I cant with them sometimes.

I almost watched the whole series at one sit, I only stopped at episode 10 because it was almost 4 am lol and I had to wake up to study (ew).
I think its deserves all the attention and love. very very good so far (i still have 3 eps left so...)
