It's just demotivating, to apply for somewhere you like but you hear nothing, then nothing, then nothing. I haven't even had an interview yet. I am slow, and a failure.
That sucks. My advice is to apply for one job a day. Put your heart and soul into the application and spend an hour or two to makeit as perfect as you can. Then, for the rest of the day, do something else, preferably something fun, to distract yourself so you don't constantly think about it. Even if it takes a hundred applictions get a job, you'll get one in just over three months this way.
While you're waiting to hear back, practice your interview skills so you are prepared when it does happen and dont screw it up. Plan to arrive to the interview five to ten minute early. If you arrive to much earlier, it'll either make you look desperate or like you have too much free time in life. If you arrive too late, that tells them youwon'tbeon timeif they hire you, which all jobs will hate, andwill just set a bad first impression in general. Look up what to wear andnot wear to an interview. Do research on the company and have at least a basic understanding of them. Be able to say what you want from the job, outside of money and benefits. Have an answer for why they should hire you instead of another candidate. List your strengths and weaknesses. Ask questions at the end of the interview about stuff like company policies, employee benefits, starting pay and pay raises, how to advancewithin the company and so on. This will show them that you're actually interested in the job and will take it seriously if you are hired, which they will like.
