For example, units of measurements (though there’s many more examples). I’ll pick on Germany. Germany is one of many countries that use the metric system. Of course though, they had units of measurements before, that they more or less ditched seemingly. Sometimes people have the opinion that everyone should be matchy matchy for convenience (especially if they think their system is the one that should be used) while others are pro preserving traditional ways. Where do you stand on this? Are you pro everyone become one? Pro keep the uniqueness of each country? Or in between?

I thought smth diff from measurements when I saw preserving tradition

there's no important cultural significance for america's units of measurements, they can use metric it just makes it easier for everyone
