1) When did you start liking Kpop? 2003 ish? I've stanned for as long as I can remember.
2) Which Kpop artist got you liking Kpop? Brown Eyed Girls
3) Has Kpop changed or impacted your life? Yes! All the time. Sometimes in just small mannerisms, somethings largely.
4) How long has it been since you like Kpop? Maybe about 16-ish years? Idk.
5) Which Kpop artist do you like at the moment? Who is your most favourite? NCT, SuperM, Day6, BTS, Seventeen are who I'm really into these days. My ult is either NCT or Seventeen.
6) Are you learning Korean? If so why and is it because of the Kpop influence? If not, are you thinking of doing so? I know some Korean and I'm learning it fully. It's partly because of the Kpop influence, but also because I'm part Korean. I want to connect with my culture more.
7) Have you ever been to Korea? If so why? Yes! I have family in Korea, so I visit them once in a while.
8) Are you planning to go to Korea at some point in life? Yes, I want to go. One of these days I'll go without my family.
9) Do you buy or use items that your favourite Kpop idol is promoting or using? No, I never have a need for it. Once, I did buy a face scrub because I needed it.
10) How many merchandise do you own from your favourite Kpop idol? I have something? I forgot what it was lol probably a poster.
11) Has any Kpop idol use their influence to changed your life or others life? I don't know? I don't really notice changes in other people or myself because I'm blind.
12) Why do you like Kpop? I like the music they put out. I find it less boring than American music. I also like how it sounds, and all the different lyrics, meanings, and genres they have.
13) Why do you like your favourite Kpop artists? I like their concepts. I also find the members relatable and funny.
14) Do you use any Korean products? Yes, I use Korean facial scrubs and lip balms sometimes.
15) Do you buy any Korean products? Usually, I get them as gifts, but I bought a face scrub once before.
16) Are you learning about the Korean culture or are thinking about doing so? Yep! As I said before, I'm trying to connect with my culture more.
17) Do you catch up on any Kpop idol news? If so, is there a specific idol news that you catch up on mainly? Not really? Instagram and KpopSource is where I get my news lol

- probably 2NE1 is what impacted my life the most as a whole. The girls really helped me love myself more and be more accepting of myself. The girls all made me belive basically

- I just live music and kpop just hit me hard

- I like them because of their music primarily and then because of their personalities and vibe

3) Has Kpop changed or impacted your life? Somewhat. I have gotten some new friends to talk to and I have done volunteer work relating to kpop site that took quite slice of my time when I did that. So yes it has, as a hobby at least.
4) How long has it been since you like Kpop? Around decade.
5) Which Kpop artist do you like at the moment? Who is your most favourite? Big Bang is still my favorite, but I also like 2NE1, f(x), IU and Blackpink.
6) Are you learning Korean? If so why and is it because of the Kpop influence? If not, are you thinking of doing so? I am not and I have thought of it, but I'm not particularly good at learning new languages and I'm middle of learning japanese so that will come first at least.
7) Have you ever been to Korea? If so why? No.
8) Are you planning to go to Korea at some point in life? Yes, I'd love to.
9) Do you buy or use items that your favourite Kpop idol is promoting or using? No, I only buy albums and other merch at times, but nothing that isn't directly related to group.
10) How many merchandise do you own from your favourite Kpop idol? If albums are counted maybe 8.
11) Has any Kpop idol use their influence to changed your life or others life? Not really, even if I admire some of them.
12) Why do you like Kpop? Kpop has catchy music to listen to and idols are in general likeable and funny compared to other celebrities. Community and fandom is large part of it as well, I love how in kpop you can share the passion towards different groups and kpop in general.
13) Why do you like your favourite Kpop artists? They have the "it" factor, they are themselves and charismatic with it, they are both artistic and fun.
14) Do you use any Korean products? Not right now.
15) Do you buy any Korean products? Sometimes, but I don't really pay attention to country then.
16) Are you learning about the Korean culture or are thinking about doing so? Not at the moment, but I have taken some classes of Korean culture, history and society in my university.
17) Do you catch up on any Kpop idol news? If so, is there a specific idol news that you catch up on mainly? I try to, well I'm most interested of news about my favorite groups like Big Bang, but I like to follow general kpop news as well.

- Not voluntarily, but I'm learning as I watch dramas and Running Man.

SNSD. And specifically, Yoona of SNSD.

3) Has Kpop changed or impacted your life?

Yes. Korean pop (along with Korean drama) has for the most part supplanted my own country's pop culture in my day to day life. Many people have an awareness of and interest in the popular entertainment of their country or perhaps in the Western world, often the U.S. market and its celebrities. They know and share that culture in an everyday sense with their peers and friends, etc. For me, Korean pop and Korean drama has become that for me, taking the place of my historical tabs on U.S. pop culture. When I think of celebrities, it's Korean celebrities. That's my pop cultural base of knowledge. It's been that way for about 5-6 years now.

4) How long has it been since you like Kpop?

2007.

5) Which Kpop artist do you like at the moment? Who is your most favourite?

My 2 favorite groups are SNSD and TWICE.

6) Are you learning Korean? If so why and is it because of the Kpop influence? If not, are you thinking of doing so?

I am interested in learning Korean in the future. I previously studied some Chinese. And I'd like to pursue Korean at some point.

7) Have you ever been to Korea? If so why?

No I haven't.

8) Are you planning to go to Korea at some point in life?

Yes. I have thrown around the possibility of teaching English in South Korea.

9) Do you buy or use items that your favourite Kpop idol is promoting or using?

No.

11) Has any Kpop idol use their influence to changed your life or others life?

For me, Yoona has had the most effect on my as an idol. I see her as a role model figure. I admire her kindness and optimism. Her drive and perseverance. Her character and conservative values. Her ability to be a positive influence on those around her. I see her as an aspirational figure, much in line with the idea of an "idol".

12) Why do you like Kpop?

I love the combination of the music and the idol system. That Korean pop through its idol system is often more than simply the music. Korean pop as an industry provides a broad entertainment foundation where idols act not only as singers and dancers, but jack of all trades entertainment figures that pursue various entertainment endeavors like acting, hosting, variety skill, modeling, etc. And for many idols, they stand as role model figures as it comes to values, character and conduct. This aspect appeals to me, as well as the conservative nature and concern with image and promotion of disciplined values.

13) Why do you like your favourite Kpop artists?

It depends on the group. Some I like simply for their music. Others their image or Members. For my absolute favorite artists, SNSD and TWICE, it is their status as not only musical groups but well rounded entertainment figures and family friendly role models, along with their music.

14) Do you use any Korean products?

No.

15) Do you buy any Korean products?

Dramas and musical albums.

16) Are you learning about the Korean culture or are thinking about doing so?

I've picked up some through my time in kpop and kdrama as well as my overall reading about Korea. But I've not studied the culture in any academic sense. I have an interest in South Korean culture and especially their foundation in Confucian principles. That aspect and foundation has always appealed to my conservative nature.

17) Do you catch up on any Kpop idol news? If so, is there a specific idol news that you catch up on mainly?

I keep up to date on general kpop news and specifically my favorite artists and idols through Korean culture news sites as well as Korean culture forums like this one and others.

For male groups, EXO, B1A4, Day6, ONF and BtoB. For females, Apink, Oh My Girl, Dreamcatcher and Rocket Punch.

I am, mainly because after a while I started picking it up naturally through K-dramas and variety shows. I thought I might as well take advantage and learn properly.

Nope, because of mainly health reasons.

I hope so, I’ve always wanted to see the walls outside of the UK.
9) Do you buy or use items that your favourite Kpop idol is promoting or using?
Nah I don’t buy into stuff like that.

I have a few EXO things. I have a polaroid set, a Xiumin figure keyring, and Xiumin’s melody blanket.

Not really, but I’m proud of idols for using their platform to help charitable causes and raise awareness of issues.
12) Why do you like Kpop?
Honestly, Kpop became an escapism for me, similar how I love other things.

Each of my faves provide something different, there’s a good variety of genres between them.
14) Do you use any Korean products?
Innisfree sheet masks, because they don’t irritate my skin.
15) Do you buy any Korean products?
See above, but I also buy albums and DVD’s.

BTS, specifically MIC Drop ft Steve Aoki got me into them.

Not really, but it has shown me that musical preference can evolve over time.

At the moment I like SF9, Oneus and BTS. My most favourite is and always will be BTS.

I started it last year, but have since gotten busy. I'm planning on re-starting it though and maybe even go to Korean class. It's because of K-Pop and because a close friend of mine is Korean.

Yes, definitely. I want to go next year.

No.

Quite a few sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies as well as posters, keychains, postcards, photo cards etc

It hasn't changed my life, but I'm sure that it has impacted other people's lives.

12) Why do you like Kpop?
I like the singing, rapping and dancing, as well as the visuals and the mvs. I feel like they put a lot of effort into it and take it more seriously than the western music industry.

13) Why do you like your favourite Kpop artists?
They're really talented, handsome and sing about topics that many young people think about. I'm a bit outside of the targeted age group, but I still appreciate and respect how they're putting so much effort into it and taking the time to think about what bothers young people. They're also very humble, funny and cute :D

14) Do you use any Korean products?
No.

15) Do you buy any Korean products?
No.

16) Are you learning about the Korean culture or are thinking about doing so?
I'm learning about it through magazines I buy and through K-drama as well.

Only sometimes and I don't have a specific site. I do mostly catch up on BTS.
