Former “Produce 48” contestant Han Cho Won is now an artist of Cube Entertainment!

On August 21, Cube Entertainment revealed, “We have signed an exclusive artist contract with Han Cho Won.” According to SpoTV News, Han Cho Won, who had originally signed a trainee contract with Cube Entertainment, signed a contract in the first half of 2019 to join the agency as an artist. Unlike a trainee contract, an artist contract is a green light that indicates the person’s imminent debut.

In response to this, a source from Cube Entertainment stated, “We have yet to decide on specific plans in regards to Han Cho Won’s debut.” Han Cho Won previously appeared in Mnet’s survival program “Produce 48” and impressed viewers with her vocal skills. She ranked No. 13 in the final episode and was unable to debut in the project group IZ*ONE.

Sounds like a soloist. Well that was many's wish solo is hit or miss.
I think she'll have a group debut eventually, this seems to be Cube's strategy with their Produce contestants that don't make the final group, they just give them a couple of digital singles to help maintain their fan base while the company is still preparing for the group. I also think that Chowon will have a longer wait before her group debut, kinda like Soyeon. (G)I-DLE are still rookies and Cube won't want to mess with their popularity by adding a new member out of the blue plus the new boy group probably won't debut this year like they were supposed to because of the legal dispute Cube is having with Guanlin which means that whatever subsequent girl group they were planning with Chowon and Juhyun also has to be pushed back by a year too.

That is good to because i was just thinking no soloist from produce 101 was successful that was not in IOI and there were terrific vocals in that show. (Somi because of who she is Chunga from skill)
