I mean from the sounds of the list he hasn’t done much lately. NCT said beautiful had been sitting on the shelf since their debut, sooo that’s not actually new either, so it kinda makes sense that he’s trying something new. Many of those songs are 10-15 years old.

Me too! He's capable of making some good dramatic songs, and the girls seem really good at that particular style. I'm interested to see if this move will get them more eyes. We all know that a group can release great songs, but if the company can't get and keep people's interest, then it's always a struggle. Not everyone can luck into a Hani moment.

I wonder if there are creative differences with SME that's prevented his songs from getting selected? It'd certainly explain why he has so many bops to his credit, but they're all older.

He’s Yoo Young-Jin’s brother…so he’s probably more powerful than other producers but I guess maybe if his brother said no?

He's probably just not feeling wanted at SM Entertainment unfortunately, and heard Nature & felt inspiration and knew that he could get write songs that actually could be released rather than shelved indefinitely. It really makes me wonder how many songs SM, JYP, and YG just have in their catalogs that haven't been recorded yet.
