Public opinion of MJ and R Kelly makes no sense (1 Viewer)

There is actual proof. Physical evidence of what R Kelly did to underage girls.

But no physical proof of what MJ did to underage boys.

Yet MJ is looked at as worse than R Kelly to a lot of people.

Please explain.

I think it's because of how famous Michael Jackson is. R Kelly is known mostly in the Western world but Michael Jackson is known worldwide. Michael Jackson was a role model to many so when the news came out, it had a bigger impact with or without evidence.

I think it has a lot to do with the gender of the alleged victims, apparently it's A LOT harder to get a molestation conviction when the victim is female because there is the subconscious idea that vaginal penetration is always going to take place at some point so the sodomising of young men is seen as the greater crime... Ironically, I learnt that from an Oprah interview!

I will never get why MJ was so hated towards the end of his life and how much fun people started to make of him for mostly stupid reasons.
He is an icon, did so much for the music industry and worked his ass off eversince he was a small child. Put some respect on him people please.

AND don't get me started on R.Kelly. He is a dirt bag and should be locked away. But of course actual awful guys like him can still do as they please
