Queendom 2's lineup...hm (1 Viewer)

Before anyone comes to hate on me, I don't hate any of the groups in Queendom 2. However, there is one group specifically that makes me angry.

Kep1er.

Yes, I know they are kinda expected to be there having been Mnet's new girl group, but it's for that exact reason that I'm angry. They JUST DEBUTED. With the exception of VIVIZ because they were previously GFriend, they are the newest group to be in this show. The most recent debut being Loona in 2018 (or 2016 if you count Heejin's solo debut as the groups debut). The girls just debuted. I know Yujin is a seasoned idol, but most of the group are rookies and are still working to be their full potential. Going up against the best Ace in kpop (Hyolyn) and some of the best performers in 3rd and 4th gen (WJSN, Loona) would be hard, and I just don't think if it was a fair competition that they'd have any chance honestly.

I really don't think it's going to be an equal show. I mean, personally, I don't really watch it for the competition aspect of it, but I know there are going to be a certain fandom that's going to literally sacrifice something (/j) just to make sure their group gets first. I watch Queendom for interactions, performances, etc. Same thing with Kingdom and Queendom season 1.

Am I excited for this season? Yes. Do I think whoever wins will be less based on talent and more on who's most popular? Of course, it's Mnet after all.

Anyways, I'm curious if anyone agrees with me.

I don’t think it’s a problem that Kep1er participates
Season 1 was full of surprises, so I'm curious to see which group will surprise us this time

And well, obviously fans are going to vote for their faves but that’s how it is
Oh My Girl, for example, didn’t win but they gained many new fans
At the end that’s what it all about - to get as many new fans as possible

I agree, I just know there are so many opportunities that will come to the group that wins. Mamamoo got so much opportunity because they won season 1. I just hope for the same with this new season.

I think so too. I mean I'm excited for BG, Loona, WJSN, etc. to get more fame and fans but if Mnet wanted to promote kep1er they should've done road to queendom with rookie groups.

I'm expecting Kep1er to win since the last round is mostly fandom power and as the Youtube views for the opening performances show that Kep1er has the most fandom power with getting 3.4M views while the next is Loona with 1.8M views so unless one of the groups go viral as I do think Kep1er is weaker than Mamamoo that something like Oh My Girl could potentially be close enough to overtake them however I don't know the likelihood of even that being enough.

Queendom 1 was a joke. Mamamoo won but they disappeared after that and the losers OMG and IDLE are doing better than Mamamoo overall

I'm just sharing my opinion. Whether Kep1er wins or not, they're going to have popularity because they are managed partially by Mnet. Mamamoo also didn't dissapear, they had solo debuts and comebacks after Queendom. OMG faced severe controversy (again...) and IDLE lost one of the most essential members. Queendom brings a lot of eyes, but that's not always neccesarily a good thing.

I have no doubt that either Kep1er or Loona will win. I'm just kinda worried about how it's gonna go lmao. Orbits are known for being cutthroat, but so are kep1ians.

Well the Loona members apparently are being super competitive about it themselves saying they're willing to break their bones to win the competition although who knows what BBC might have said to them so they're taking this very serious when unless they get really lucky they're only competiting for 2nd place

I'm not surprised. They've got a lot on the line at this point. BBC have really poorly managed them for a while and have threatened disbandment multiple times. Whether they were joking or not, it isn't something to threaten. Loona probably thinks this could be a make or break. Same thing with Heejin and Hyunjin having been on mixnine. That could've shot them right up to the top girl groups in 3/4th gen. If mixnine had actually done debut.

Yeah I don't trust BBC myself and of course Loona means a lot to the girls but I don't know if any level of success will satisfy BBC as it's not like the girls sell poorly since they sell 100k which is something only a handful of non Big 3 groups can say and they still don't seem to want to promote the girls.

Yeah I was hoping for a Road to Queendom with the likes of Rocket Punch, Cherry Bullet, and maybe Dreamcatcher to help them get their first win.
