Specifically about what language you speak. Let's say your family speaks another language at home primarily, or you're visiting someone who's family does so, but the guest or you (depending on the scenario) doesn't speak that language. Is it appropriate in your opinion for them to speak another language the guest doesn't understand? For me I feel awkward when someone visits and my parents speak to me in Russian. I have had someone tell me they're fine with it after I mentioned that to them, but I still would prefer my parents to speak English when around guests. What's your guy's opinions on this?
