I like Harry Potter and love the LOTR, but haven’t read GOT And I’m an avid believer that the LOTR movies are mediocre compared to the books But funny enough I like the Hobbit movies trilogy

You should!! GOT is just amazing!! True tho HP movies weren't even made properly they didn't do justice to many characters and I felt the same for LOTR movies

Hobbit trilogy is far better compared to LOTR movies

My type of person The thing about the LOTR movies is they were similar to the books but a bit worse in certain ways. The Hobbit movies were very different, clearly still inspired by the books but different enough that I wasn’t comparing them being like “x character is worse” and “y plot difference is worse”, I viewed them as more different but not comparable. Just 2 semi similar forms of media that were different enough in the end. The LOTR ones weren’t like that. Though I’d be totally fine with no romance in the Hobbit movies.

as to HP i like it own teh books and the movies althought the movies get worse by goblet of fire... just too big to adapt.

GOT - lol i hated that first book bounced off of it at least 5 times before i finished it and i just wikied the rest . i didn't care.
Couldn't pay me to watch it .

True enough I would actually say that if movies are made based on a book then the plot and characters should be like the og book. No need to interfere if you can't do better. But the Hobbit movies changed the plot in a likeable way. The LOTR movies should have been like Hobbit ones.
