Sm had discarded Rv in the bin for rhe first three whole years. And then he suddenly realized dat, he had no other gg. That's when he started paying a modicum of interest in em

Fx would of had dat chance but by the time theyreached their time, fx had already started falling apart

i disagree for 3 years. more like a year.

red velvet became popular in korea since ice cream cake.

happiness was a flop (shame becuase thats one of my fav songs from them). but ice cream cake blew up in korea.
ofc they hit it huge with red flavor. in between, dumb dumb, rookie, and russian roulette did pretty well, but not the scale of ice cream cake, red flavor, bad boy, and power up (which are their hits in korea)

They were a hit from icc but dat doesn't mean SM treated em right. It took em three years to give em a fandom name, four years to get a kightstick. In dat time and age, every groop had them right out of the womb. Plus tge styling. Lemme not go there
But the biggest blow was the obe & half year gap between their cbs from ootn to rr. By dat time twice had soared so high and rv missed their chance to be bigger. Even now, they gave barely any cfs, they hold concerts in gymnasiums .they secong biggest gg of the second cond gen.

I still do not understand fx from a buisness perspective.
a i know they became cash machines as solo acts especially Krystal and Vic.
b amber out for a year early on did not help.
c. the group was clearly built to expand the genre and beyond Korea.
1 why they never really tried China is puzzling maybe China's markets just could not support that...
d. 2014 rv was not the problem Suili was the problem in 2014 and 2015.
2. in fact i now think they rushed RV much much more because of fx's pending Suili mess that the dating or exo (like a gg would distract about exo)
e. They never toured. Group was built to tour pullin all those crazy fans to a venue maybe they would get friendlier with each other. ( i did used to think it was because of Krystal and her health the did not tour (but now i lean to Suili).

G they did get a TON of station more than any other group i think in a effort to find something that fans would buy .

H Amber got the fist solo of any of the snsd or fx kids.

fx only works as full promotion group. gotta have teh album and the full deal.

Rv is similar in this also non album promos crash and burn ...

Taeyeon is the only SM act that can sell digital only releases and have the public listen to them.

Red Velvet also wasn't active at the same time as the biggest girl group of all time. Have f(x) and Red Velvet switch places and it would be the same story. RV would only get one comeback a year like f(x) did.

after ES SM decided to go full album, comeback once per year like they were a senior group.
SDSN during that time released nothering in 2012, 1 album at the start of 2013 and a mini in march 2014 that was horribly promoted and managed, kicked Jessica out and came back with a full album in late 2015.
