Oh youtube views count, it's rly cool to involved i-fans as well in that way.

I actually liked ONEUS performance a lot. At first I was worried, usually choosing older song doesn't go as well as going with new and trendy song- especially if it's from curently huge group like BTS. It felt like pretty brave move and I'm glad that they pulled it off making the song theirs instead of making it seem like they were covering a song. ”This is message of ONE (of) US” Pretty hype.

I guess we are really going to classics now. Rising Sun is actually first kpop song I heard, but back then I had no idea it was kpop. I like the mix, makes the sound definitely sound more modern kpop. But compared to ONEUS prop heavy performance, it makes this one feel bit plain. Sun dance towards the end with high note was great.

This is definitely different version of Mansae. Though even if they tried to go with manly when the actual song started the outcome is still cute lol. The song mix wasn't bop for me, but the performance was pretty good, if not bit disjointed with quite many parts.

Oh, this is a concept! Best vocals so far, these groups are so dance heavy it's great to see focus on sound from a group. I'm not sure what to think of outfits, if I saw photo or someone wearing that IRL it would be ugly but it fits the performance. Last fan dance I have seen was VIXX's Shangri la, and I think there should definitely be fan use in kpop choreo. I wonder if the original SHINHWA song includes Swan Lake or not.- turns out it does but tbh Golden Child's mix and performance makes lot more sense to me compared to original mix, theirs was more of kpop meets ballet.

King Kong? Are they going to cover Nalina? Oh Alligator, we are going with newer stuff. Everybody .. i'd have preferred Alligator as song. (ONF). I have to say that this concept isn't really working for me, there just seem to be so many aspects from navy to evil spirits to crowning a king, from choir singing to happy party song, I'm just not sure what I'm watching. The vocals are nice?

Golden Child > ONEUS > TOO > VERIVERY > ONF

ONEUS was almost as good as Golden Child for me, in some terms the performance was more exciting, but Golden Child concept was more original. And I liked TOO's mix more compared to VERIVERY's which is why I put them above.

Yea it was kinda weird that only TOO and another group were the only groups who sang

I guess dance is the strong point and focus of these groups, so that was what they wanted to show to impress the viewers. But if everybody just dances, it doesn't really make them stand out- and doesn't really tell me if they have good songs and sound good ^^;

Very Good is hype song, but I'm not sure if Pentagon did enough to change up the concept and song for me. It was alright, but felt like it could have been Block B's performance. The start was cool, but I wasn't rly impressed.

Phantom thieves? These outfits are my favorites so far. I really liked little magic tricks they had at the beginning and there was couple cool dance moves as well. But I'm not biggest fan of the song., musically this isn't that interesting and the staging isn't as intriguing as some other groups had.

After all performances, i'd rank them: Golden Child > ONEUS > TOO > VERIVERY > BOYZ > Pentagon > ONF.

So the voting didn't quite go as I ranked the performances xd I I feel bad for Golden Child and ONEUS who to me worked rly hard to portray fully realized concepts., especially ONEUS they deserved more for making such old song and concept modern.

So we are jsut straight to new performances. And this performance from Pentagon is complete opposite to their first. This is fun concept andI like the suitcase props. At first I thought they only had this goodbye for the sake of performances, but then I realized it was about him leaving to army soon.. oh damn. It must be hard for groups to say goodbye to member for a while, especially if the group is still rly close like the appear. Rather than just acting for performance, this was real and emotional. If I knew the group and members more I would have cried.

I'm really nervous about the elimination, already feel bad for the group that gets eliminated.

I'm sorry wtf are those rankings
I'm kind of done, I just dont see how on earth Oneus could possibly be last place, they seemed very much in the high middle. The Boyz was my last place group and they're first? Of all the groups their theme seemed to be the most nonexistent, all they did differently from the other groups was move a crown from the beginning of the performance at the end. They also used a table that was 100% unrelated and was also done by Oneus in a much more logical and understandable reason.

Might be, I don't remember their rank in 90 sec performance, but it seems not many liked their second performance- saw lot of comments of people ranking it last as well. I'm hoping there will be big change in rankings, but so far at least BOYZ and Pentagon have been solidly leading.

Maybe i'm just around wrong people lol, ONEUS definitely deserved one of high spots. And seems like our rankings are somewhat similar, I also thought BOYZ was bit lackluster.

So the idea of them performing their own song is so lame in general, they really couldnt think of something more unique? Ffs
Oneus-Their performance was okay, the props and background dancers were cool, but they themselves didn't spark a whole lot of interest and the dance break seemed so random and detrimental. It also might have to do with the fact that I just find Lit to be less performance interesting tbh.
ONF-I wasnt feeling it but it got better as it went on. The song is meh, but the dance with Yooa was nice and the formations with the background dancers and themselves in the last part were cool. I appreciate the fact that there was no random unnecessary dance break.
Golden Child-Tbh I don't like the original song but I like this version even less rip. Lowkey wondering if this performance was built around the idea of one of the members playing a violin, since orchestra doesnt suit the song at all imo. Its cool that they showed his talents like that but I think there could be better ways to do it and maybe they could have picked a better song for this type of remix.
Verivery- They get so many bonus points for picking a bside and for their concept, its pretty awesome. The songs okay, the outfits are weird an annoy me, but overall I liked theirs a lot. Even though the song would be a skip the performance would make me stay tbh. Prop wise is was a bit lacking though, after watching the others it felt more empty but oh well.
Too-To be honest the only part I found interesting was the fight scene at the end. The rest of the song could have just not happened and id be fine with that tbh.
The Boyz-Imo the best performance in RTK so far. I loved everything about it, theres so much. The song is really meh but the performance itself was great, they had a nice concept, great dancing, cool use of props, and overall everything was just awesome. I dont love their whole concept just because i find it a tiny bit cheesy, kind of GIdle but they pulled it off better. Other than that though it was amazing.
Overall, id say my 2nd round rankings would be The Boyz>Verivery>ONF=Oneus>Golden Child>Too (i didnt watch pentagon)

I think their cover was ranked too low tbh (I think most people think that) but I dont think their song this time around was great so Im not sure how I feel about them being eliminated.

Guest for ONF? I wonder if Seunghee is meaning herself or other OMG member. I didn't like ONF performance last time as I thought their concept was too all over the place, but I will see if I like it this time. Puppets sounds interesting.
I think the quest is YooA, it looks lot like her. And I'm really liking the styling and staging this time. And YooA is great addition, her stage presence is no joke. I really liked this one. The song wasn't most interesting for me, but the performance was interesting in behalf.

Poor Golden Child, they deserved so much more with their Swan Lake performance. I love sound of violin so I'm definitely into idea of string version. So I was reprimanding ONF last ep for having mixing two (or more) concepts that didn't go together, but I feel like this time I have to reprimand Golden Child for that. It's not as bad, but they went too classical with violin compared to song they chose. Wannabe sounds like party songs so electric violin would been better fit. Sadly, I wasn't big fan of them this time.

Oneus, another group that deserved lot more with their last performance. Seems like they really gave thought of using the stage for their benefit. They have such hype concepts and songs, this is just first rap and I'm already feeling it. Yep, ONEUS should definitely get one of top spots for this. The stage production is crazy, just how many people they have participating. Another stage fitting for year end show. And ofc I loved the concept, I love historical concepts in general, but often you see those type of concept being quite similar- you have the martial arts and that stuff. But this had more humor and trickery, it was like BOYZ phantom thieves concept, but in historical korean setting. They did mention that they were inspired by BOYZ camera work lol.

This concept is insane. The guitar riff and acting is intense. I didn't write up much, cause the performance was that captivating, I didn't wantto miss anything. I was quite sure that Oneus would be my favorite this time, but VeriVery seems unbeatable. My favorite performance so far. And I loved the track as well.

It's interesting to go with song they didn't perform that well first time with (though t that was BS, I remember really liking their introduction). They need both improve and do something different than first time. Though, they dont have much choice as they are rookies and might not have many releases yet. TOO has some of coolest scenes, first the Sun in Rising Sun and now battle around good and evil while ”scales” walks in the middle. Overall and I enjoyed that one lot too. Tbh, I noticed the mistake with jacket too, but only because they had showed how it was supposed to go and without knowing that I wouldn't have even noticed so it's not big deal rly.

BOYZ. It was good idea to continue the story, though from phantom thieves it's now fighting over the crown. That rising of flag part was crazy- and looked pretty dangerous .

Oh Pentagon performed last ep, I was confused. This makes ranking harder since I have to remember what happened next week. I think they had the suit case one? It's so different as concept that makes ranking lot harder.

Ranking:
VERIVERY > ONEUS > TOO > ONF > BOYZ > Pentagon > Golden Child.

Tbh VERIVERY is clear winner for me, with ONEUS being second one that I enjoyed a lot, and everyone from TOO and Pentagon being pretty great and enjoyable for me, I found it hard to rank them. Poor Golden Child though, I felt like this wasn't that good, especially compared to their previous performance.

I felt exactly same about Golden Child's performance. The song didn't fit to this concept at all and it's such a shame. I'm having my fingers crossed for them since from that Shinhwa cover we know that they can do amazing performances.

Overall I thought you were more critical than me this round as I enjoyed almost everything xd

Road To Kingdom is my first korean reality/survival show what I am watching now since I discovered Kpop only in the end of 2019.
It's a more enjoyable experience than I expected it because I am really amazed by all of these talented young people who works hard on their performances...
Although I decided to watch the show because Oneus was the first group which grabbed my attention last year,now I think that it worth to watching because every group is great on their own ways... :)
True, that I am sad because I find Oneus less powerful than the others... :/
Even if I still support them on a level as a fan, I had to recognize that they aren't my favourite group in the competition.
I started to love other groups much more actually. XD

It's a more enjoyable experience than I expected it because I am really amazed by all of these talented young people who works hard on their performances...
Although I decided to watch the show because Oneus was the first group which grabbed my attention last year,now I think that it worth to watching because every group is great on their own ways... :)

I actually agree a lot more with the rankings this time around, though Id put Verivery higher and ONF a bit lower. Even so, definitely a lot better than before. I feel a bit bad for Golden child, they got done dirty the first time around, but imo they really didn't perform up to par the last round.

The On performance was by far the most boring performance on the show so far. Imo there were too many members, no props, it was basically just a normal cover. Not RTK worthy. I'm a bit worried they'll all be like that, I seriously hope its not going to be the case. I think it would be more interesting if I knew the different members but I dont so it really just feels like im watching a big group cover a song.

Cuz the RedSquare performances I looked at were lq as well. YT sets the vid on a certain quality that's easy to load

Road to Kingdom is good start for variety shows, the groups just keep trying to outdone each other so the performance quality is off the charts.

If you are into girl groups as well, you might want to watch Queendom as well which came before Road to Kingdom and had some popular girl groups. The performances were just as good (though maybe bit less dance focused overall).

I tried that I "turned" higher the quality of the videos, but they still bad... Sadly I can't see clearly. I think I have to accept it and watch like that...
I was curious only that others may have the same problem or not... But thanks for your help!

My tastes seem to be bit different, since I don't rly get this BOYZ domination. I think they have one or couple cool dance moves in their performances, but overall they aren't that memorable to me. In other hand I'm glad for ONEUS climbing. I'm ok with VERIVERY getting fifth place,since this is apparently accumulated points from previous rounds as well, unless i understood wrong.

I'm rly sad for whoever will be eliminated. I'm not sure if the elimination stuff was really necessary to this show. Maybe it increases stakes, but there is already stakes over what group(s) get to Kingdom. And got I hate the endless repetitions over announcing this stuff that variety shows have. I always lose interest middle of them doing this, and then i have to go back cause i blanked out and missed who they said.

I had feeling it would be Golden Child. They didn't get that good score even for their Swan Lake performance despite it being amazing and their second performance didn't work that well, the music mix didn't go together and performance wasn't as impressing as some other groups. But, this elimination stuff, it just feels bad, kinda feels like the program just started and they are already leaving..

So how will the collabrations work? Some of these groups are already huge? Will we see like twenty people in the stage (plus dancers?), what would the line distribution ever be xd
Still don't know how the collabs are going to work. I'm bit nervous for VERIVERY AND TOO since both of them have been placing low. Sure the performance is going to be good though. ONEUS and BOYZ are probably who I look most forward from the collabs.

They showed a lot on those collab teasers. So there is hard army concept, sexy one and fun/youthful one. At least it's not all fantasy this week, though I like fantasy concepts.

So they can choose to have all of them stage or just some. Makes sense I guess. With having all of them, this pretty much became dance performance. Especially when they seemed to lipsynch whole thing. I get it, but I feel like they should have chosen less vocal heavy song if they were to focus on dance as lot of emotion in this particular song is behind the vocals. The dancing was on point though, especially with such large group.

Start of second performance is cool. Wtf though Kill this Love? That was definitely a surprise, but you can really make gg song your own so not bad choice. And I guess Mnet isn't afraid of YG anymore.

Teaser for next week included lot of good songs too, I'm looking forwad to the covers.
