S.E.S debuted in 1997 and BOA in 2000. Only a three year difference.

So why in 2020 is BOA 10 times more relevant than S.E.S.?

Is it an age thing? Is it mostly cause BOA is a lot younger age wise?

Age considering she's pretty close to 2nd gen artists in age, still being active, still being a relevant topic because of some of her records that have yet to and will likely never be broken (mainly Japan). I know a lot of people that are into BoA because of her anime OSTs

Like ppl said before, BoA is still around, still young, working as a director at SM so she's got influence, She's done a lot more for kpop overall as well.

Eugene is still a huge star from her acting work and the show with her kids.

I does not help that Shoo has gone of the deep end to gambling aa.

Bada is still working even though she just got married.


mostly its the fact that BoA is still at SM and active.

SES broke up after 5 years. I know they're still doing things, but I guess because their work isn't K-Pop related?
And BoA's gonna be around for a while. She renewed that long contract.

But... Kangta's still there, and unless I just haven't been paying attention, I don't think he's doing much... Wondering if BoA will get to that point, but I doubt it.

SES was one of the most important gg's in first gen. they still are very known with FIN.K.L and Baby VOX.
Thing is those groups disbanded while BoA still is kicking it and releasing hit after hit
